Love Cheesecakes To Receive Start Up Now Loan
LANCASHIRE ENTREPRENEURS HELP BUSINESS FINANCE SOLUTIONS REACHES £4MNORTH WEST MILESTONE
Love Cheesecakes among 200 Lancashire businesses to receive Start Up Now Loan
Business Finance Solutions (BFS) is celebrating a major milestone this week after completing the delivery of finance and business support for £4million of Start Up Now loans http://www.start-up-now.co.uk to entrepreneurs across the North West as part of the Government’sStart Up Loans initiative.
The funding has enabled more than 800businesses to launch across the North West – 200 of which are in Lancashire – creating thousands of new jobs in the region within a wide range of businesses from property sales to hairdressers. Aswell as delivering the low interest Start Up Loan finance, BFS also works with the new businesses to provide business support, mentoring and training.
One of the entrepreneurs to have helped BFS reach the £4m milestone, receiving their loan this month, is James Asquith from Poulton Le Fylde who owns The Cheesecake Emporium who has designed a cheesecake called “Love Cheesecakes” https://www.lovecheesecakes.co.uk which makes and sells over 100 flavours of chilled cheesecake, from Peanut and Salted Caramel to Orange and Lime.
Having been based from home for two years, selling online and direct to consumers at events, James will now be using his £10k loan to lease the company’s first premises on the Fylde coast, to establish relationships with wholesalers and develop the Love Cheesecakes brand.
James said: “We are absolutely passionate about cheesecake and have already developed a unique business with a strong customer base just using our website and by attending food events. The desserts have proved really popular with everyone from corporate clients to couples wanting something unusual for their wedding. We’re the first company in the UK to be using the individual sized cheesecake pan, which we imported from America and are continually adding to our 100 plus flavours with Retro, Indulgence and Allergy ranges in development to really offer our customers an incredible and evolving variety of product“.
“The Start Up Loan means that we can really take the Love Cheesecake to the next level, by moving into premises that we also want to develop as a visitor attraction, building our corporate client base and taking on three members of staff as the business grows.”
Paul Breen, Director of Business Finance Solutions said: “Delivering £4m worth of loans to 200 start ups in Lancashire and over 800 start ups in the North West is an incredible milestone for us. We are so proud to have been able to help hundreds of ambitious and hardworking entrepreneurs to set up their own businesses and start to achieve their dream of being their own boss. Since Start Up Loans launched in 2012 the demand in the region for the low cost finance and support that they deliver has continued to grow because the product fills a real gap in the market for start ups. Many of the companies we worked with when the Loans first launched are doing really well, trading successfully and employing others to help their business to grow further still.”
Over 800 BFS Start Up Loan recipients in the North West are now running their own businesses, creating employment and economic opportunities across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and Cumbria. Start Up Now is available to everyone over the age of 18 in the North West.
